Biography

Former international civil servant, Assane Diop lived for long in the high state sphere of Senegal. Under the governments of President Abdou Diouf Assane Diop held for over ten years, almost continuously, as Minister of Health and Labour. In 2000, after the fall of the socialist regime, the former minister has been at the International Labour Office (bit) in Geneva and became the deputy following the Managing Director of that office. Following his departure from Bit, in which he spent 12 years of his professional life, Assane Diop won the Economic Council for Africa (Cea) in Addis Ababa. Today, back in the fold, the specialist in labor issues and frequent new health the presidential palace, this time as a special adviser to President Macky Sall. Always active in politics, former Socialist minister, introduced himself and won the presidency of the County Council Koungheul under the colors of the coalition Benno Book Yaakaar.
