 The town Yeumbeul south is a local authority, legal person of public law. It brings together the inhabitants of the perimeter of the same locality united by solidarity resulting from the neighborhood, willing to deal with their own interests and able to find the resources necessary for their action or particular within the national community and in the direction the interests of the nation.

The district municipality has legal personality and financial autonomy.

Located 18km from the city center, the town borough Yeumbeul south is in the department of Pikine, specifically at the district Niayes.

It is bounded on the north by the town district of north Yeumbeul. To the east by the municipality of Mbao district, northeast of the town of Keur Massar district, northeast of the town district of Wakhinane Nimzat. It is bordered by the town of Thiaroye Gare, southeast of the town of Diamaguene Sicap Mbao and south is the town of Thiaroye Kao Djiddah .With an area of ??just under 4km2, the Commune is one of smaller of the city of pikine.
