Missions
According to the Decree 2012-453 of 16 April 2012: The Ministry of Economy and Finance is responsible for preparing and implementing the policy decided by the Head of State in economic and financial matters. As such, it represents the State in international financial institutions including the IMF, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the Islamic Development Bank and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa . He represents the State at ministerial meetings of the franc zone and UEMOA and prepares projects discussed in such forums. He represents the State in the ministerial meetings related to the implementation of the Cotonou Agreement. It is associated with international trade negotiations conducted by the Minister of Commerce. He participates in joint commissions. Together with the Minister of Justice, Attorney General, he represents the state in international meetings of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA).He is responsible for the preparation and implementation of finance laws and management of the state treasury. It is responsible for the preparation and implementation of laws and regulations in the areas of tax, areas, customs, currency, credit, insurance and, in conjunction with the Minister for Trade, the price policy. He is preparing planning documents, directs preparatory studies and ensure its consistency with regional plans. It monitors the implementation of the Plan. Coordinate the development of sectoral policies in relation to the Technical Ministries and evaluates public policies. It develops multi-year investment programs. In the field of international cooperation, it presents all funding requests from other departments. It prepares and implements the policy of the State in respect of the Broader Public Sector and ensures the financial supervision institutions and companies that fall, whatever the nature of their business. It provides the technical supervision of institutions and companies under its control by the decree of distribution of state services. It provides control of the payroll of the state. For the exercise of this function, the Minister of Public Service brings his assistance as needed. It is responsible, respecting the independence of the Court of Auditors, to make available the human and material resources that the Government has heard affect him. He is the Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Court of Auditors. In connection with the Minister of the Armed Forces and the Minister of the Interior, is responsible for the protection of the economy against smuggling and fraudulent or prohibited imports.
