Agency of Senegal Airports (ADS)

Presentation

It created an autonomous structure of the Senegal airport management , Agency called " Airports of Senegal ", abbreviated "ADS" . It has legal personality and financial autonomy . Agency " Airports of Senegal" is under the supervision of the Minister of Civil Aviation.

Missions

 The Agency's mission is to promote and implement government policy on development and operation of national and international civil aerodromes. It is responsible for the technical and commercial management of Senegal airports.

The service "ADS" bring together all the activities that can lead as technical and commercial manager Senegal airports with the exception of those assigned to other structures.

Its tasks include:

- To promote and develop all national and international civil airports of Senegal;

- Ensure the provision of air navigation services and aviation weather accordance with the standards and practices recommended by the Organization of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO);

- Operate and provide maintenance of all domestic and international airports spread over the country; 

- To manage support services to the terminal air navigation and telecommunications on all airports of the Republic of Senegal, with the exception of those assigned to another structure; - To ensure the transmission of aeronautical meteorological messages relating to these structures; - To ensure the operation and maintenance of all commercial facilities; - Ensure the billing, collection, recovery and distribution of airport charges under single window aeronautical activities; - To perform all studies aimed at reliability and profitability of airports which it is responsible; - Ensure technical control, calibration of systems and equipment used in airports which it is responsible; - To develop and lease spaces necessary for the provision of services to passengers and the public within the terminal such as shops, parking, baggage handling, security, parking of aircraft, etc ...; - To provide products and property rental services, ground handling and related services (passenger check-in, baggage handling, aircraft handling on the track and transfer cargo);

- Assess the air traffic;

- To manage the State's commitments in the management of airports;

- To negotiate bilateral and multilateral agreements within the framework of authorizations and mandates by the state.

The Agency carries out its task in accordance with the legislation in force.

Agency "of Senegal airports" may also entrust the management of one or more national or international aerodromes in a public or private structure after authorization of the Minister for Civil Aviation.

 In addition to the services that are provided by this decree, the Agency may be entrusted by third party management or maintenance of their airport facilities, under special contracts inspiration from a financial point of view, these provisions .

The agency's services can compete under conditions determined by mutual agreement with third parties, implementation of aid operations
