Biography
Journalist and politician, Racine Talla was formed at the Centre for Studies of Information Sciences and Techniques (Cesti), where he earned a BA in journalism after having a Masters in Philosophy at the University Cheikh Anta Diop Dakar. He also holds a Master in Communications in Canada. Racine Talla made his debut in the "Radio City Centre" in Montreal. On his return to Senegal, he joined the Sud Communication group and became, later, general manager of the 7fm radio. Talla was also coordinator of the UNFPA Communication Unit "UNICOM" linked to management of the Plan and funded by the United Nations Fund for Population. For nine years, Racine Talla was in charge of the leadership and coordination of activities of Information, Education and Communication in population (IEC / pop) at national level. Then, he was successively appointed Director of the National Service of Education and Information (SNEIPS) to the Ministry of Health, National Coordinator of the UNDP MDG Campaign and CEO of Africa-media cabinet. In 2007, he worked as a consultant for the presidential and legislative elections with Macky Sall, then Wade's campaign manager. With the coming to power of President Sall in April 2012, Racine Talla integrates Presidency communication cell after spending several years in the Senegalese Radio Television (RTS) as agent and simultaneously involved in the campaign of the President of the Alliance for the Republic (APR). Some months later, in October, Racine Talla was appointed CEO of the RTS. In July 2014, it is installed at the head of the municipality of Wakhinane Nimzatt (Dakar suburb), its stronghold on the basis of the RPA list that won local in this area.Tags: Radio Télévision Sénégalaise
