Missions

 The Ministry of Livestock prepares and implements the policy defined by the Head of State in the field of Animal Husbandry livestock production. To contribute to food self-sufficiency, it is implementing strategies and programs for increasing and securing animal products and improving their quality. It promotes the identification and development of promising sectors. As such, it ensures the inclusion of livestock and pastoralism in the development of rural areas. It also ensures the improvement and protection of pastures, livestock water supply, animal health and genetic improvement of livestock. It encourages the implementation of pastoral infrastructure. It promotes the barn as a livestock expert and propose any action to secure the livestock. It promotes training and supervision of breeders, for the realization of projects tailored to the needs of people. He oversees the development of animal production. It ensures, for this purpose, the promotion of partnerships with producer organizations and funding agencies in order to encourage increased investment in the sector and the empowerment of farmer organizations. It ensures compliance with legislation and regulations in the field of animal husbandry, supporting and supervising the professional breeders and organizations. It shall in regards to the enforcement of agro-forestry-pastoral orientation and alignment of instruments and mechanisms to ensure sustainable development, participatory and integrated.
