Agency for the Economy and Energy Management

Presentation

It is created, as provided by Law No. 2009-20 of 4 June 2009 guidance on implementing agencies, an agency called " National Agency for Renewable Energies ( ANER ) " legal person of public law , endowed with financial autonomy. The Agency is under the technical supervision of the Minister of Energy and the financial supervision of the Minister of Finance.

Missions

The ANER mission is to promote the use of renewable energy, including bioenergy, in all sectors. As such, she is responsible include: - To participate in the definition and formulation of energy policy, particularly on renewable energy; - Contribute to the development of an attractive legal and regulatory framework for the development of renewable energy; - Identify, assess and exploit the potential of renewable energy resources available and economically exploitable in different regions of the country; - To popularize the use of equipment for the production of electricity from renewable sources; - To conduct prospective and strategic studies for the development of renewable energy; - Developing and implementing national projects and programs and renewable energies to ensure consistency; - Carry out technical, economic and financial projects relating to renewable energy and to monitor the implementation to implement; - Contribute to improving research and development and encourage technological inventions for renewable energy; - Develop and implement programs of information, awareness, communication, education and training demonstrating the technical interest, economic, social and environmental development of renewable energy; - To participate in promoting the emergence and the companies operating development in the field of renewable energy and encourage investment in this sector; - Identify and exploit innovative financing mechanisms for development of renewable energy, including carbon finance; - To develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of renewable energy; - To work in the field of energy management, in close collaboration with the Agency for the Economy and Energy Management.
