Biography

Appointed minister since the advent of Macky Sall regime, Mansour Sy now occupies the chair Minister of Labour, Social Dialogue, Professional Organizations and Relations with Institutions. Mansour Sy was born in Guinguinéo (Kaolack region). The Minister of Labour has debuted at Gaston Berger High School William Ponty Kaolack and Thies before landing at the Inseps Dakar. Holds a certificate of competence to the inspectorate of popular education of youth and sports, he held the posts of head of division at the Ministry of Sport, then Chief Financial Officer at the General Secretariat of the Conference Ministers of youth and sports of the countries that share the french language (Confeges). He was also director of the training programs of the body of Senegalese development volunteers. Mansour Sy was, moreover, professor of mathematics and natural sciences from 1973 to 1982. Trade unionist, he is a founding member of the single union of Senegal (SUDES) since 1975 with positions held at different levels. Apart from his responsibilities as minister, Mansour Sy is also the secretary of the Central Committee of the Independence Party and Labour (Pit) in charge of the organization and finance. Since March 19, 2015, he was elected Chairman of the Board (Pca) of the African Regional Labour Administration Centre (CRADAT), headquartered in Yaoundé.
