Biography

The Ministry of Civil Service, the Rationalization of staff and the Renewal of the public service was assigned to Viviane Laure Bampassy e at the reshuffle of 6 July 2014. Issue of the promotion of the 1992 National School of Administration (ENA, former Enam), Mrs Bampassy is a product of the Senegalese administration. In October 2013, she was appointed governor of the Fatick region. This appointment is a first in the history of Senegal, the Minister is thus the first Senegalese held a governor. Viviane Laure Bampassy went through several positions of responsibility. It was first chief of the political and trade union Affairs Division at the General Affairs Directorate of Territorial Administration. The Assistant to the Governor of Dakar, she moved to the Department of Guediawaye and Pikine where she was the prefect. The Minister of Public Service has also left its mark at the Ministry of Culture as Director of Cabinet and Secretary to the youth. Besides Ena Viviane Laure Bampassy is also a graduate of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration in Paris and Illinois State University in the US. She also holds advanced degrees in law, management, and international relations at the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar.
