Biography

At the head of the National Electricity Company since June 2015, Mouhamadou Makhtar Cisse is a State Inspector General, trainer Customs Economics and Techniques of International Trade. He holds a Masters in Law, Business Law option, the University Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, a DEA in Political Science and a Master in Public Management and Finance. Former military academy in St. Louis, Mouhamadou Makhtar Cisse was a member of the Bar of Dakar for two years before joining the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) where he came out with the patent of inspector of Customs. Over the years, it was different functions within the customs administration. In December 2009, Mouhamadou Makhtar Cisse was appointed head of the Senegalese Customs. Under his leadership, the Senegalese Customs received the UN Award for Public Service with GIE Gaindé 2000 technological arm of the Directorate General of Customs. In his career, Mouhamadou Makhtar Cisse went over to the Ministry of Fisheries and Maritime Economy and occupying the office of Director chair. In 2002 he was admitted to the State General Inspection by competition where he served for eight years. Director General of Senegalese Customs, Mouhamadou Makhtar Cisse was promoted Budget Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance. It will, then, among the staff of the President of the Republic for which it has been a few months, the chief of staff. As distinction, Mouhamadou Makhtar Cisse received the Knight of the National Order of Merit and Knight of the National Order of the Lion, the Medal of Honor of the French Customs. The current CEO of Senelec is also holder of the World Organization Certificate of Merit (WCO) and the Medal of Honour of the Senegalese Customs.
